Husky-CNOOC Madura Limited (abbreviated as “HCML”) is one of the Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) of Badan Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi (BPMIGAS), which later on was changed into Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi (SKK Migas), Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, as a representative of the Government of Republic of Indonesia to conduct exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in Madura Strait.
Continuously striving to become the biggest gas producer in East Java and the operator of choice in Indonesia, HCML launched a field development program for one of its gas fields, Madura BD field, which was discovered in 1987. It is estimated that Madura BD field, which is located approximately 65 km East of Surabaya and 16 km South of Madura Island, contains reserves of 422 BCF (billion cubic feet) of natural gas and 18.7 MMBBL (million barrels) of condensate.
HCML is pleased to announce the completeness for MDA and MBH Platform and Subsea Pipeline which have been installed on schedule. This is a milestone achievement for HCML who have work for more than two (2) years building assets. Both platform MDA-MBH built with two million hour zero incident. We are pleased, excited and looking forward to continue our second stage as HCML is preparing for Drilling Campaign in the near future and working hard to achieve our first gas in 2019 as Company’s commitment to our Client and Indonesian Government.
